Nature of Decision Making

This painting (acrylic, 30x30 cm) depicts the nature of decision making.

Most decisions are difficult. But some are more difficult because they sit at the centre of your insecurities. The thought of their outcome makes you vulnerable. Maybe you are scared of being alone. Maybe you are scared that you are running away. Maybe you are scared you might not perform well. Maybe you are scared you will lose someone very important. Maybe you are scared your life will change forever. Maybe you are scared you will hurt someone. Maybe you are scared you will go broke.

And in those moments you have to, you have to trust yourself. You could choose the most natural flow, without forcing anything. You could choose to take action to change things that you are not happy with. You could postpone the decision until the last minute. You could choose while prioritising a loved one because that makes you happy or you could prioritise yourself.

But it is you who has to take that decision, nobody else can. And in that moment, you wouldn't know if that is the right decision. But you have to follow through. Once you decide, you have to put in your best to make it work without putting pressure on yourself. You need to take full responsibility for it.

And if it doesn't work out, you tried. And *maybe* you will make a better decision, next time.
